Vintage Silverplate Hollow Knife Slice Link Bracelet #2

Every once in awhile I surprise myself...this is one of those times :) I do a lot with vintage silverplate flatware, spoons and forks, but have never known what to do with the hollow handled silverplated knives....until now!

I've sliced sections of the hollow handle, making an unusual, rather fancy shaped link bracelet. The outer(sliced) edges have been slightly hammered, polished, and tumbled for shine. Connecting the knife slice links are sterling silver jump rings. Toggle clasp...the bar part I've made in sterling silver, the "circle" part is another, slightly thicker, knife slice.

Measures 7 3/4 inches in length, approx. 3/8 inch width, give or take a bit on the width.

What makes this bracelet really cool is that it's a classic link design, but has the "secret" of being made of slices of a hollow knife handle.

***as vintage flatware utensils are sometimes silver plated over nickel, this bracelet may not be for you if you are allergic to nickel...the cutting/slicing exposes the inner metal
