Copper Bear Ornament: 95th Anniversary, Deep Creek Lake

Special edition of my Deep Creek Lake copper bear ornament!

2020 is the 95th anniversary of Deep Creek Lake, this bear is done with "deep creek lake" , 1925 - 2020. See photos :) I do a maple leaf stamp, 1925, pine tree, 2020, sailboat. I'm very pleased with how this turned out!

I originally made this bear for all my Deep Creek Lake, Garrett County customers - I've been doing arts festivals in Garrett County for a number of years, and it's actually where I got my start. The people, both locals and visitors, are friendly and very supportive of the arts. It's a beautiful area and perfect for a summer or winter vacation, whether it be a week-long getaway or a nice little day trip. Bears are pretty much synonomous with Western Maryland, Garrett County, DCL in particular, and I thought I'd do a copper bear ornament in honor of that....and give visitors to the area a nice little souvenir of their trip, done my way :)

>>>Bear silhouette ornament, hand cut from copper sheet metal, formed to be slightly dimensional, not perfectly flat, & patinaed/polished to highlight details. Each bear is one-of-a-kind, no two are perfectly, exactly, alike (handmade, after all!) but are very similar.

Measures approx. 2 3/4" x 1 3/4", give or take a teensy bit.
