Another interesting, rather rustic, shape I've come up with, a triple wave crafted with three horse shoe nails bent and soldered together. Perfect for that horse lover, the equestrian-at-heart!
Funny little story on this piece...it didn't start out as a triskelion.....I was making horseshoe nail hearts, and had several bent nails ready for soldering. Three had gathered into this interesting shape and I went with it! It's one of the most popular shapes I make, and I'd never even heard of the word triskelion until recently ....I came across the word in my search engine stats, and researched it....and, lo and behold, I'm making triskelions!.
Measures approx. 1 x 1 inch. Comes on an 18" black leather cord necklace.

Horseshoe nails are made of steel....they can and will patina dark over time and with wear....don't worry, it looks really pretty this way! Keeping your horseshoe nail jewelry from getting wet will help delay the patina process...if your horseshoe nail jewelry does get wet, just dry thoroughly and use a small piece of fine steel wool to keep it bright if need be.
