Pierogi love!
I've made pierogi pendants for a couple years now, WHY I never did an ornament before this rather befuddles me. But here is one now!
Pierogi ornament, done in flame-patinaed copper, measures approx. 2 1/2 inches tall x 1 1/2 inches wide, give or take a bit. Depth/thickness at widest point will vary, approx. 1/4" to 3/8", give or take a bit. This is definitely a 3-D form rather than flat. Hollow in the middle.
Each one is made to order, and has it's own shape/characteristics, just like the real thing (well, if the real thing is grandma-made, that is, and not frozen in a box :P) I begin with copper sheet, then hammer, fold, solder, hammer, stamp, form, patina....center "puff" is hollow.
Works wonderfully as a Christmas Tree / Holiday ornament....or as a cute little something to hang in your kitchen. For the pierogi lover in all of us!
