My miniature coat hangers, done as earrings. The hanger “hook” is also the ear wire, so these hook directly through your ear lobe. Crafted from sterling silver, the bottom part of the hanger measures approx. 1 1/2” wide, (give or take a bit, though I do strive to get the size as close to that stated, each is hand made one at a time and thus can vary).
I’ve been making my hanger necklace since June 2022, and while recently talking about making them as earrings with a friend, she commented that “they’d look cool if they went directly through the ear”! It was a great idea and here they are!
My subtle reminder that certain rights are important to women, and men, to all of us. The fall of Roe v Wade has the ability to affect all of our rights in some way. IMO, the argument isn’t entirely over whether abortion is right or wrong, but whether any of us, especially women, have the right to decide FOR OURSELVES what happens to OUR bodies. Going back to the “old ways” of choice is not healthy or safe.
